i39 supports the next audio formats for create a ringtone or alert tone:

What can I create using i39?

Using i39, you can create as many ringtones and alert tones as you wish. There are no limitations for this. i39 supports ringtones for iPhone (with 39 seconds duration), alert tones for iPhone (with 29 seconds duration) and sound for Windows Phone and Android (with custom duration).

Please note: Ringtones and alert tones for iPhone will be created in M4R format. Tones for other phones will be created in M4A format.

How can I create ringtone and alert tone?

To create a ringtone and an alert tone you have to open your favorite song first. To do this, please choose a song from the built-in iTunes Library panel or open any song from disk.

Than please click on the 'Settings' button and choose one from the next options: 'Ringtone' (with max 39 seconds duration, if you wish to create ringtone for iPhone), 'Alert tone' (with max 29 seconds duration, if you wish to create alert tone for iPhone) or 'Custom' (if you wish to create ringtone for any other phone).

For example: If you choose 'Ringtone' you can select a duration of the result audio in the range from 1 to 39 seconds.

After this you should select a range of audio that you wish to save as a ringtone. To do this, please use built-in Waveform Editor. Using Waveform Editor you can move the region by audio waveform as well as change duration of region. To move region please click inside region and move it to the new position. To change duration please click on the left or right border of the region and move it to the new position.

Than you can customize it using Fade In and Fade Out effect.

Finally to export ringtone from i39 please click on 'Export' button in the toolbar. Here you can choose between two options 'Export Ringtone to iTunes' and 'Save Ringtone on the Disk'.

Please note: These option correct only if you choose 'Ringtone' in Settings pane and they will be changed if you choose 'Alert tone' or 'Custom'.

How can I customize ringtone and alert tone?

You can customize a ringtone and alert tone using Fade effects (Fade In and Fade Out). You can choose fixed time interval in range from 1 to 10 seconds for Fade effects as well as 'Fade by Time Cursor' to set a custom Fade interval.

Please note: For using 'Fade by Time Cursor' a time cursor should be located inside of the time region.
